HATI SUCI

Hati Suci was founded by Mdm. Lie Tjian Tjoen in 1914. Initially this house was a safe house for girls who were trafficked at that time. In subsequent developments, this house became an orphanage for girls. Until now, Hati Suci has been established for 108 years. We, the successors, are determined to continue the spirit of Mdm. Lie in defending the rights of abandoned girls.

1914-1928

In 1914 World War I just started, a young mother named Mdm. Lie Tjian Tjoen (Auw Tjoei Lan) took the initiative to establish Perkoempoelan Ati Soetji, a social institution that aims to help girls who are trafficked. In subsequent developments, this house became an orphanage for girls so that they would have a better future.

1929-1951

On November 30, 1929 a house was built in the Kebon Sirih area as a residence to accommodate the girls. This safe house can accommodate up to 200 children. Now the street in front of this building is known as the Hati Suci Street.

1952-1954

Along with the care program at Hati Suci, in 1952 a Kindergarten and Elementary School of Hati Suci were established to meet the needs of formal education for foster children living in Hati Suci.

1955-1987

Along the way, this school, which was originally intended to meet the educational needs of the girls we care for, has grown to become one of the favorite schools in the city so that girls in Hati Suci get a very good education.

2014- sekarang

In 2014, the Sacred Heart Foundation turned 100 years old. This moment was used by Mdm. Maria Franciska Setiati, the successor of Mdm. Lie Tjian Tjoen, to change the name of the Hati Suci Orphanage to Rumah Hati Suci so that the children feel like they are living in their own home. Until now we have remained consistent in continuing to live up to the spirit of Mdm. Lie Tjian Tjoen in protecting abandoned girls.

BK3S Arts and Culture Festival

The Sacred Heart House performed the Indonesian Wonderland Dance which consisted of Floren (West Java), Gustina (Kalimantan), Audri (Bali), Rina (Sulawesi), Rebecca (Papua). In this event, various creations from other orphanage children were also displayed, such as group vocals, regional dances and pencak silat.

Rumah Hati Suci at Local Indonesia

Local Indonesia is a market formed by Ms. Caroline Tobing to support products from various craftsmen and artists in Indonesia. Rumah Hati Sacred is given the opportunity to sell Soft Cookes products made by themselves. Besides selling cookies, we have support from BEAU Bakrey, 2nd Bite Bakrey, Sugar World Academy (SWA), Paisley Things and the American Woman Association.

Hair Cut Class from Mr. Untung Abadi with D'Cent Salon

Mr. Untung Abadi brought a team from D'cent Salon to teach the children of Rumah Hati Suci the techniques of cutting hair, straightening and blowing. There are 3 people who teach cutting hair and 2 people teach curling irons. The activity started with observation, the children saw the examples given by the team, then the children practiced how to cut their hair by themselves. To make them look more beautiful, the children also learned how to blow their hair and straighten them.

Goes To Dufan with PT. Sarana Media Seluler

All children and caregivers of Rumah Hati Suci participated in the Goes To Dufan event with PT. Cellular Media Means (SMS). The event started at 10 AM with the distribution of goodie bag, followed by enjoying various Dufan games, after that lunch together, ending with dinner and group photos at Talaga Sampireun Ancol.

The event started with examining cavities one by one, then children with cavities were directed for further examination with DR. Ruth at her clinic. Followed by socialization of proper dental care, lunch together and closing service.

Launch of the memoir book “Mami Ciska”

The memoir “Mami Ciska” is a book written by A. Bobby Pr. Tells the story of 20 years of Ms. Fanciska Setiati's journey as the Director of the Rumah Hati Suci Orphanage. The discussion on the contents of the book was attended by the 4 speakers, namely Pastor J Haryatmoko, Mr. Sarsito Sarwono, Dra. Eunike Sri Tyas Suci MA., PhD and Agatha Lusiana as alumni of the Sacred Heart House. The event was closed with a performance from Hati Sacred Children Choir (HSCC) who sang the song Dona Nobis Pacem.

August 17th Celebration Rumah Hati Suci

The Rumah Hati Suci family celebrates Independence Day with a competition that trains teamwork and teamwork. There are quiz contests, moving flour, free dancing and moving balloons. This year's event was prepared by high school students in grades 10 and 11. The event was closed with a meal and distribution of prizes.
